CocoRosie
CocoRosie is a band made up of sisters Sierra and Bianca Casady. They're definitely progressive and experimental, so if you don't like that kind of thing, you won't like their music. The debut cd, "La Maison de Mon Reve" (the House of My Dream), was released in March of last year and I think it's great. It was recorded in Paris and combines lots of different electronic sounds with super-high vocals (Billie Holiday-style) and interesting beats. You can listen to some songs at their website. Wow! CocoRosie! I love them. My boyfriend found a CD on the ground at last year's SXSW that contained Housewife and St. Nicholas from their first album. They're stunning live and their music is fantastic. Glad you're spreading the word!!
