Jolie Holland
Jolie Holland was a founding member of The Be Good Tanyas, but I find her solo work to be much more interesting. She has a very folky kind of sound with a deep, resonant voice. You can listen to some tracks on her sound page or stream the album "Catalpa". I have some tracks from the unreleased new Fiona Apple record and think that Fiona's new sound is very similar to Jolie's. Buy "Catalpa" or "Escondida" by Jolie Holland.
